The largest health care provider in Johnson County, Kansas, the SMH network includes SMMC, SMH - Prairie Star and SMH - Overland Park.  Our SMMC campus is comprised of the main hospital, a community health education center, Cancer Center, Surgery Center, six physician office buildings and an associate child care center. The Emergency Department at SMMC is the busiest in Johnson County. We deliver more babies each year at the Shawnee Mission Birth Center than any other hospital in the metropolitan area and we have seven Shawnee Mission Primary Care locations, as well as, Centra Care Shawnee Mission Urgent Care locations.

Qualifications
You will provide leadership for:
 
Directs the ongoing effective operations of a progressive program with over 5,000 deliveries per year, including the following departments:
  • Labor & Delivery,
  • Mother-Baby,
  • Well Baby Nursery,
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit,
  • Maternal Fetal Specialist Clinic,
  • Parent Education,
  • Lactation Services,
  • OB Hospitalists, and
  • Infant Development Center.  

Participates in planning, development and implementation of organizational strategic initiatives related to the Birth Center and Children's Services.

 

Promotes the service line to internal and external customers.

 

Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians.

 
 
What will you need?
 
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred

Minimum of 5 Years Position-Related Leadership Experience

Kansas Registered Nurse
