You will be responsible for:
The Pharmacist is responsible for accomplishing the goals set forth by the Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) and the Director. To accomplish these goals, the Pharmacist must exhibit empathy, innovation, collaboration, teamwork, passion, dedication to personal development, and a strong commitment to “know the patient”.
The Pharmacist is responsible for oversight of the pharmacy dispensing process and consultation of patients. The Pharmacist supports the Pharmacy In Charge (PIC) in ensuring the maintenance of efficient pharmacy operations, customer satisfaction, loyalty, and regulatory compliance. In addition, the Pharmacist is responsible for complying with governing rules as issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
The Pharmacist is responsible for drug distribution, storage, security, control, and utilization. They are essential to an effective drug selection process. Through concurrent review and intervention their effective use and monitoring by the pharmacist will optimize medication therapy outcomes.
Position responsibilities of the PIC at Adventist Health System require access to protected patient information (PHI). Staff team members will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policies and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.
What you will need:
- Good Computer Skills
- Good clinical knowledge on all medications
- Individual must have excellent skills in working with point of sale, inventory management systems, Pharmacy Information Systems.
- Graduate of an accredited pharmacy school.
- Doctorate in Pharmacy.
- 1-3 years of experience working as a staff pharmacist required.
- Experience with pharmacy information systems preferred
