Each patient room is private, and the uniquely designed "clover leaf" patient care units consist of 60 beds per floor. The Emergency Department is sized to accommodate up to 60,000 visits per year.

Qualifications
Job Responsibilities
 
You will be responsible for:
  • Performs Cardiac stress testing/Stress-echo/tilt testing and holter monitor scanning
  • Performs basic pulmonary and cardiac diagnostic monitoring
  • Administers medication and IV insertions
  • Cardioversion and non-invasive cardiac monitoring
  • Monitors and assists in transesophageal echocardiograms
  • Maintains accurate documentation in patient medical record
  • Maintains diagnostic equipment and supplies
  • Administers, monitors and recovers patients receiving IV conscious sedation
  • Prevents contamination and transfer of infection
  • Moves light to medium weight equipment on a daily basis
  • Moves patients of varying sizes and conditions from bed to wheelchair to stretcher on a daily basis
  • Demonstrates commitment to all department and hospital compliance policies
  • Cross-trains to other cardiac departments as needed
  • Proficient with EKG monitoring and 12 lead ECG’s
  • Maintains collaborative and positive working relationships with physicians
  • Coordinates with the ECHO department on the procedures, bubble studies and difinity as needed
  • Treats customers in all age ranges including neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric
  • Displays flexibility to accept new or different assignments
  • Acts as clinical instructor to all students and staff with less experience
  • Participates in Performance Improvement activities
  • Exhibits excellent customer service/relations while performing duties
  • Ability to manage time efficiently
 
What will you need?
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) in state of Florida
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association)          
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) -(Accredited through American Heart Association)
  • Conscious IV sedation competent – Preferred
  • Must have over 48 months nursing experience, with 24 months critical care experience
