Each patient room is private, and the uniquely designed "clover leaf" patient care units consist of 60 beds per floor. The Emergency Department is sized to accommodate up to 60,000 visits per year.

Qualifications
Responsibilities
 
     You will be responsible for:
  • Assessing and reassessing patients per hospital policy
  • Developing the plan of care (IPOC)
  • Providing patient education and training based on each patient's needs and abilities
  • Implementing nursing interventions and treatments
  • Facilitating discharge planning
  • Directing nursing care assignments
  • Pain management
  • Patient Satisfaction
  • Electronic Nursing documentation
  • Practices within scope of practice
  • Hourly Rounding and impact on patient satisfaction
  • Participating in continuing education
  • Demonstrating knowledge of core measures that directly affect patient outcomes
  • Demonstrating of FHW Standards of Behavior
  • Demonstrating standards of practice at FHW
  • Participating in on-boarding program
  • Completing initial unit based competencies
  • Completing new hire competencies
 
What will you need?
  • Current Florida Registered Nurse license required or if New graduate, offer contingent on passing NCLEX
  • Graduate of School of Nursing with AS, AD, or Diploma
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)- (Accredited through American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Education: BSN preferred or Bachelor in healthcare related field preferred
