Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY:
 
Provides consultative services to medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff. Provides prescribed medications, drugs and other pharmaceuticals, and compounds medications according to professional standards and practice.
 
 
You will be responsible for:
 
  • Provide clinical services when consulted by providers (anticoagulation, kinetic monitoring, etc.)
  • Participate in multidisciplinary rounding daily
  • Compounding of sterile preparations
  • Make clinical interventions and communicate with providers/nurses
  • Order review/verification within Cerner system
  • Oversees inpatient/clinical pharmacy services
  • Provides required supervision for technician duties
   
What will you need? 
 
  • Maintains professional licensure/professional credentials as a Pharmacist in the state of Kentucky Required
  • Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm. D.) from accredited pharmacy school
  • Maintains appropriate documentation of continuing education as required by state pharmacy laws
  • Competency in Microsoft products, database management and working knowledge of pharmacy technology
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and adapt easily to change
  • Demonstrated excellent time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
  • Related experience equivalent to one year as a Pharmacist preferred
