You will be responsible for:


  • Assists the manager with continuing education for the instrument techs and central processors.
  • Works closely with the OR staff to ensure all instrument needs are appropriately communicated.
  • Helps with decontamination, assembly and sterilization of surgical instrumentation for the main OR, labor and delivery, C-section and all offsite clinics. 
  • Cleans and distributes Patient Care equipment, obtains and tracks rental equipment, cleans and sterilizes all vendor instruments.
  • Communicates with the OR staff to help with instrument turnovers, conflicts etc. 
  • Assists the OR staff with patient positioning and transporting. 


What will you need?


  • High School Diploma
  • 1-2 years of position related experience
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association Preferred
  • Certified through IAHCSMM or CBSPD
  • Ability to accurately identify specialty instrumentation Preferred
  • Ability to accurately process complex instrumentation Preferred
